Young ICCA – GIAC Joint Workshop - Practical Tips for Commencing International Arbitration Proceedings
Young ICCA will be co-hosting together with the Georgian International Arbitration Centre (GIAC) an in-person event entitled “Practical Tips for Commencing International Arbitration Proceedings.”
The event forms part of the GIAC Arbitration Days and will be taking place in Tbilisi on Friday, October 13, 2023, beginning at 4:15pm Tbilisi time.
The event will bring together experienced practitioners and arbitrators to explain what factor should be considered when initiating an international arbitration and how international arbitration proceedings are commenced. Among others, the panel will explain what a request for arbitration (“RFA”) is and why does it matter. The panel will also share practical tips on how to draft and file the RFA in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.
